Nottingham is justifiably proud to be named England’s official Home of Sport and the University of Nottingham certainly plays a part in that success! With extensive world-class sports facilities, the University provides the perfect venue to host your sporting event, national tournament, training camp or bespoke sports days.
Late 2016 saw the latest addition to the mix with the opening of the £40 million state-of-the-art David Ross Sports Village on University Park Campus, an outstanding, inspirational and accessible sports infrastructure for all and a sector-leading facility of international significance.
With a varied selection of indoor facilities and outdoor sports fields, each of our 3 campuses has its own sports centre, perfectly situated within close proximity to our on-site accommodation. In addition, we have two sports complexes, Highfields Sports Complex, located within walking distance of University Park Campus, is our premier outdoor sporting venue offering leading sports and conferencing facilities while Riverside Sports Complex offers 2 pavilions and over 150 acres of grass sports fields.
For all guest over 18 staying within our accommodation, the facilities within our sports centres (including an indoor swimming pool at the David Ross Sports Village) are available for use on a complimentary basis. University Park Campus also offers the outdoor Active Trail with 5 separate outdoor workstations available for use by those guests wanting to enjoy a full body workout.
