Gayle, can I just say a huge thank you to you and all your team. Our conference went extremely well. There were absolutely no hitches at all. Anna, who did the lunches, was lovely and so helpful to all our participants. The food was really great! It's always difficult catering for such a large group of diverse diets but no-one made any negative comment at all. Not even the vegans! All the rooms worked like clockwork; all AV worked and the AV team were just so helpful, and had checked all rooms the afternoon before, making sure it all worked. We managed to stream the Shadow Chancellor around the world. I think the University came out of it looking extremely positive in terms of the facilities and the campus. I think the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, John McDonnell, was very impressed and who knows when he is The Chancellor in 2020, he might well remember the University of Nottingham. I have had the pleasure of working with Nottingham Conferences for the past five summers in my position as a consultant for L'astrolabio, an Italian language school provider. I also work as a provider of Conference Services at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester. The customer experience provided by Nottingham Conferences is second to none. The team are customer focused, proactive and efficient and the venue at Jubilee Campus is superb and works really well for this type of event. The rooms within halls of residence are comfortable and clean, catering exceeds expectations and the support offered throughout the year is tremendous. I would like to take this opportunity thank you for your persuasion that made me feel certain that I have opportunity to have a nice event here from the beginning, for being very supportive and well coordinated in delivering the 2014 AURPO Conference a very success. 100% satisfaction... On the day we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff at the centre, everyone was fantastic in helping us sort all the last minute additions and things that I knew nothing about. Food service for both lunch and dinner far exceeded 2011. Lunch was good without any complaints at all, fast and efficient with comments that the sandwiches were good. Dinner service was handled extremely well, very smooth and well managed. The quality of the food was excellent and once again we were really well looked after. Overall I thought all of your team went all out to help us make it a success. I do think the positive attitude from EMCC really contributed and helped us in the delivery of a positive and motivating conference. Pets at Home

The food was lovely and especially when you consider the number of people being catered for - several people commented on how nice it was. Better communication around timings of the desert would have helped but not a major issue KPMG

Overall, the East Midlands Conference Centre is an exceptional venue; the whole experience on the day is a tribute to your efficient staff. The high standard of everything from food to the meeting rooms to staff and outstanding and very much appreciated by QAA. Notably, your staff demonstrated their professionalism, helpfulness and were engaging throughout the day – part of the buzz, which made for such a lively and enjoyable conference for everyone. As an AGM venue this worked really well. Our registrars, Equinity, felt that in terms of flow it was one of the best they had worked at themselves. Having totally taken over the venue meant that we didn’t have other people walking in on the meeting and knew that anyone in the building should belong to our meeting. The food was extremely good for a venue of this kind. Can particularly recommend the lamb tagine and bread and butter pudding. We were really satisfied with all aspects of service. I am writing to thank you for the excellent service we received at our Chamber Annual dinner. I would like to express my greatest thanks to you and your team for all the help and assistance we received during he run up and on the day of the Annual Dinner. Attitude is so important, and the staff were lovely. One of the ladies serving refreshments noted a couple of participants were wearing their coats and asked them about this, then went to get the AC turned down a little. This is so perceptive - the story was told to me by a lecturer visiting from another university who was impressed. The staff were flexible, e.g moving our tea break back an hour. Just a quick note to say thank you for a superbly organised and run Interflam 2010 conference. The facilities were very well set up and utilised, with great audio and visual quality, plus great food and evening entertainment. Being from Nottingham originally it was nice to see that the city still has a distinct character; the Robin Hood themed formal dinner was brilliantly unique and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The university accommodation was more than adequate and set in very pleasant grounds. Overall I thought the EMCC was excellent, made all the better by the helpful staff that were on hand - with a special mention for Heather, who never failed to brightened up the "Green Room" Interflam
