The University of Nottingham’s extensive and cutting-edge sports facilities provide the perfect venue to host your sporting event whether it’s a tournament, training camp or bespoke sports days. With both indoor and outdoor pitches, every one of our 3 campuses (University Park, Jubilee Campus and Sutton Bonington Campus) has its own Sports Centre perfectly situated within walking distance of our on-site accommodation.


The new £40 million state-of-the-art David Ross Sports Village, is an outstanding, inspirational and accessible sports infrastructure for all and a sector leading facility of international significance.  A new addition to University Park campus, the sports village includes the largest sports hall of any European university.  It also features a variety of flexible event spaces.

The village includes:

  • 20 badminton courts  
  • 6 glass squash courts and one all-glass court 
  • 60m indoor sprint track 
  • Human performance unit, with hydrotherapy and cold plunge pools 
  • 12m climbing wall 
  • Martial arts dojo
  • Dedicated table tennis, archery and fencing spaces 
  • 3 dance studios
  • 200-station fitness suite 
  • 25m, 8 lane swimming pool

Our premier outdoor sporting venue, Highfields is located within walking distance of the University Park campus. Equipped with extensive changing, viewing and conference facilities, Highfields includes the iconic Vaughn Parry Williams Pavillion, constructed in the shape of a rugby ball!

The site includes:

  • 8 football pitches
  • 3 rugby pitches
  • 3 cricket pitches
  • 3 tennis courts
  • 2 netball courts

Situated two miles from the University Park campus, our largest outdoor sport venue extends over some 150 acres of playing pitches and includes 2 pavillions fully equipped with changing and meeting rooms, and viewing galleries.

  • 3 cricket pitches
