History of the EMCC!
The conference centre first opened its doors back in November 1985. It originally consisted of just the conference theatre and four breakout suites, but to ensure the EMCC could accommodate and cater for a range of events, in 1995 the banqueting suite and kitchen were then added.
A further 5 years later, in 2000 the Atrium was then added to the portfolio of the conference centre and most recently the EMCC has benefited from a new kitchen extension which was completed in 2009.
Why are we using famous celebs?
To help us promote the huge success that the EMCC has had over the last 25 years, we have taken a trip down memory lane and looked at a selection of famous people who have walked through the EMCC's doors.
To find out more about each celeb click on their individual news stories and find out when they attended the EMCC.
Current activity!
Pupils from Dovecote Primary, Whitegate Primary and Milford Primary schools - all based in Clifton - have been asked to help develop a birthday logo for the EMCC to help celebrate its 25th year anniversary.
The year 5 pupils have all benefited from a morning session given by the marketing team at Nottingham Conferences. The session gave the pupils a complete overview of branding and marketing, then also gave the pupils the opportunity to work in their groups to make a start at creating a birthday logo.
More information about our schools logo competition will be posted over the coming months - so keep a look out...!
