DDA Policy

Nottingham Conferences at The University of Nottingham is committed to the legislation introduced by the Disability Discrimination Act, to ensure that it provides access for everyone. In each of the venues, provision has been made to ensure that we offer access for all, and we have a number of adapated bedrooms in our residential accommodation. Our Event Co-ordinators and operational staff can provide additional support, guidance and assistance if required.

Environmental Policy Statement

The University of Nottingham acknowledges that its corporate activities have an impact on the environment both locally and globally. We are committed to minimising this impact wherever practicable and recognise that all staff, students and visitors have a responsibility to play their part in achieving this goal.

To this end the University is committed to:

  • Developing effective waste management and recycling practices.
  • Promoting and encouraging the use of sustainable forms of travel and transport by staff and students.
  • Minimising harmful emissions released into the atmosphere and help to conserve valuable resources for future generations through improvements in energy efficiency.
  • Maintain the grounds of the University in an environmentally sensitive way, having regard to the protection of natural habitats and local wildlife where practicable.
  • Increasing the awareness of environmental responsibilities amongst staff, students and visitors to the University.
  • Taking into account environmental factors in re-development and new build projects.
